I'm looking into buying a new guitar to replace my modded Epiphone SG (EMG 81/85, Graph Tech bridge/tailpiece/nut). It'll be in drop-c tuning, and I run it through a Peavey 6505+ and an Orange 4x12....

No, it isn't to that extent--if I strum a note it sounds relatively close to normal, but as soon as I let something ring there is a noticably lesser amount of gain and sustain.
