The lil Danelectro Honeytone amps are pretty cool for $20 but I think the mini3 has more features. I'd say go for it. If you do get it, you should do a NAD with clips, I'd read it outta curiosity.

Imo, the ss Princeton is actually one of the better sounding solid state amps...it just doesn't do metal. And I doubt it was intended for metal. That is pretty dumb of Fender to use the same name for...

Just play on what you got and save up $300-$400. You can't do much with $200, but you'd have a ton of options at $300-$400 if you go used (which is a very good way to go, imo).

Some people pay the price so, technically, yes. I'm too efficiency obsessed, so I personally will probably never buy a brand new Gibson, regardless of my financial situation. However, if I were a...

^^^ Then why are you asking ug?

Haha, tough crowd. I agree with them though, they really aren't worth rating. You could probably get $40-$60 each for 'em though. Put that money towards a decent amp.

Excluding metal, pointy guitars and "high gain" amps, I started out with a cheap strat and Fender amp, ran the gauntlet and have come back around to Fender (or at least Fender inspired).

I had the Ultra for a bit, it was a pretty sweet player. I think it would make an excellent compliment to your strat. I'd go used to get a better deal but that's just me. Check out the Wildkat too.

Where are you? Where I'm at (Cleveland), $600 (leaving negotiation room) is an upper end, fair deal, especially when trades enter the picture. I'm sure it's a lil more or less elsewhere. A couple...

Since you don't need amp modeling and since you only need a few pedals, I'd say go with individual pedals and maybe get a Line 6 M5. The M5 goes pretty cheap (a lil over $100 used, I think) and the...

Nice, don't you folks down under normally have to pay a premium on gear? I paid $350 for mine with the Blackface module. $600 seems like it would be a good price in Australia.
