As to the issue of tuning... unless you have a guitar set up for a lowered tuning, it's gonna go out of tune on you. So to say that's the guitar's fault isn't entirely right.

It's actually an Ibanez ARC 300. I have the exact same guitar. ARC 100 has uncovered pickups and a bolt on neck, whereas the 300 has covered pickups and a set neck.
