i have used amps with my 120V car adapter, mine is rated for about 400 watts though. the one you list is only rated for about 80 watts.

but to give you an idea, a bugera V22 consumes about 72 watts...

yup, though guitar cabs aren't usually 'tuned' like hi-fi and full range cabs are, there certainly can be two cabs that sound quite different even when they're loaded with the same speakers.
