I have so many, but the solo on Ravenous by Arch Enemy just sends chills down my spine, also the solo on Born by Nevermore, there my two favs at the moment. :)

Probably his PRS, or a PRS. If its his, they run for about 11 grand (in AUS) and any other PRS goes for about 6 or 7 grand less.

Look into some jazz and blues artists. Chuck Berry, Stevie ray vaughn, John lee hooker are a few. Just take those influences and put them together. A lot of it can just be improvised scales and such:)
