H&K are great for hard rock, think of the contemporary Scorpions tones, like on "Sting in the tail". They're a bit brighter than the usual but not dissimilar to the EVH III, maybe tad less gain.

Laney vc15, I also like the Orange and Marshall class5 suggestions. Tube is louder so expect a 5 watt class A amp like the Marshall to sound quite loud.
