And do you think D Activator X could be too dark? My originally planned guitar for these pickups was all mahogany (24.75 scale), but then I got a mahogany body+maple neck (25.5 scale) axe....

And any experience with the D Activator X? I like the extra organic quality, that EMG X brings compared to EMG, but I can imagine that D A vs. D A X could be a much different case....
