If you haven't gotten the MG yet, then I would recommend forgoing that route and get a different amp instead and using that amp's distortion over a standalone pedal.

You've got a nice guitar and and...

I can not say enough about those amps. I have been using the crunch channel a lot recently. That hit with a TS is really nice. The OD channel is great, but the crunch is a pretty nice hotrodded...

The Randall is just a speaker cab with 12 inch Celestion Vintage 30s, and the Jet City is a great amp, but not really the best clean tone in the world. M setup is more for punk/thrash music. I use...

Overall I wasn't a huge fan of the Superchamp XD, but it's plain jane clean channel was really nice. It's got a 10" speaker in it (or 8 can't remember) so I dunno if it'll fix the 'boxiness' you're...

In that case, then yeah it's worth it to fix up and sell at a later date. For $400 you can't really go wrong; someone will buy it for at least $500.

They Vypyr isn't hard to use at all. There's just a lot of different options. You can turn it on and use the same amp every time, if you want. It's pretty intuitive and it has a ton of uses

Pass. Get a Single Rectifier or a DSL, depending on what you want to play. They do their sounds better for a similar price.

I have a question. On a POD, could you run effects from the POD like ODs in front of a tube amp and the PODs EQs, delays and such in the loop of the tube amp? This would be sweet if possible.

I'd put some V30s in there at some point. I had a RG for a while an it helped immensely in cutting through in band/live situations.

I don't use a boost with my JCA50 on the OD channel. I run it with V30s so that kind of helps with the tightness too. I use an OD all the time with the crunch channel or with my 1980.

The only problem will be bigger venues that can't mic up your amp for whatever reason. They are few and far between though, so I wouldn't worry. The 20watts should be enough to gig with in most...

Yeah, the Valveking or BlueVoodoo are the stand outs from that list. Trashed has a pretty nice price on the BlueVoodoo head, which is way better when modded properly. It's not the best amp, but...

G12T-75's don't have the mid spike of a V30, so you may like them and they will work better with a Quick Rod. They're not scooped by any means, just more well-rounded in that regard. Still nice high...

Hmm, yeah I didn't really consider you using the Splawn with the 4x12, so that changes things a bit. I wouldn't use V30s with a Quick Rod either, but it still might sound good when cranked.

311 you can't go wrong with the Mesa Slant Cab for $400. The price alone is worth it. V30s work well for Metalcore too, so that's my vote.
