You should NEVER pay full price in a guitar shop. They can always take the price down. They mark them up ridiculous to begin with so you can haggle them down.

I use martins, the purple custom gauge (11s?). They last pretty well but if I find if you wipe them down after playing and keep your guitar in a case they'll sound good for ages
