It's not so much Sheet Music Direct that concerns the quality of the tab, but the publisher of the book they take them from. The tab is from a Hal Leonard book which are usually certainly close...

I know the notes well but in my experience, I have never met someone who thinks entirely in notes. It will always be a combination of boxes, notes, tactile reference, ear reference, etc.

The mellow finger tone. And slapping unless you're really slick at hiding the pick while doing so. Mostly the tone, however. I wouldn't worry about it and just go ahead with the pick.

There's a bit of a difference between someone making microtonal bends for effect and someone who can't hear, or isn't able to play, in tune.

Which chord those notes form can depend on the situation....
