Sounds like you may be an octave too high, as has been suggested. Definitely take care of any burrs or sharp edges in the bridge, but be extra careful when tuning up.

I don't know if you C30 has a ground lift switch on the back, but my C50 does , and it can help with power induced noise issues, if that is the problem.

The Fast Fret is a good idea, as I've used it for years to good effect. In your case, a rag dampened with rubbing alcohol wiped across both sides of the strings before the fast fret should help too.
