It's a meh amp for heavier styles. I liked mine, but I sold it and got a vypyr for the versatility, if that tells you anything.

The wattage and tube mix knobs on the rebel are gimmicks. I guess the wattage kinda works, bu the volume is negligible. However, it is a very nice amp. A peavey classic is another good option.

However, I'm still of the opinion that the Mustang is a better sounding amp than the Spider. That's all I'm trying to convey.

No. It really needs a load. If it's solid state, you may be able to get away with it without blowing the amp up, but it's definitely NOT recommended.

Traynor makes a nice amp. I've only tried my YCV50, but I love the thing. I'd probably take the F-30 over it though. Behind the F-30, the classic 30 and traynor are on equal ground for me
