It's live work in a place with probably less than ideal acoustics and it's $40 so who cares tho.

Best bet is to save up a bit more and get a used peavey vypyr tube 60, or a jet city 2ch 20w combo.

For more bass I'd suggest a jensen blackbird, possibly in a custom closed back oversized...

The DSL doesn't have midi connectivity though, so unless you want to use amp sims from the midi controlled processor...

This doesn't really have anything to do with the bypass method - you may have a true bypass pedal that keeps repeating the tail after you pressed the switch and you may find a buffered bypass pedal...

You either need to turn the gain down enough or the master volume down enough.
And disengage any compression you might be having...
