How did you conclude that everyone has a scarlett? There are lot of decent sound cards out there that will do the job pretty well. Focusrite offers great value for money but theyre not the end of it...

That's nice then. I haven't heard a lot of people who can do that. Especially if it's loud as you say. You could be a bass or something but chances are that you're a bass baritone.

I think I've heard people saying that the 6505 head isn't the same as the combo even if you switch speakers. I'd probably try to get the 5150 at a lower price. That thing must be really heavy though.

Move it away from the cap or centre of the speaker. Also try finding the mic position while having a low pass filter on at about 8-12kHz. This assumes that the settings on your amp are ok.
