Black metal and punk

How much influence did BM take from punk? I've been getting into punk lately, and it may lead to me picking up guitar again (had kind of lost interest due to waning interest in guitar-based music...)...

Surprised no thread yet...

Discovered this band today, literally the day after they come within 100 miles of me... strongly considering shelling out $200 to catch them in PA this weekend. 'Nuff...

Mad Max - Fury Road -- do I need to see the previous ones?

I really want to see this movie this next weekend because of all the rave reviews it's getting, but I'm super busy so I'm not sure I can squeeze in all (or any) of the previous ones. For people...

I'm going to see QOTSA in a few months and I've been looking at their setlists for recent shows and they look all the same more or less, but I was wondering if it might change? I know I might get a...

Flat caps - Anyone else think they look badass?

I dunno but I kinda think these look pretty slick. A lot more than your typical baseball cap at least. My grandfather has a bunch of em (since they were common when he was young) and I just randomly...

Karl Pilkington

Anyone else love listening to this guy ramble about anything? I stumbled on him a little while ago through the HBO cartoon.

I don't want to say much about him cause it would spoil it ;)

I always enjoyed the more "simple adventure story" feel of the hobbit over LOTR. It's always been my favorite of Tolkien's stuff.

If the movie captures that I'll be happy.

Epic necro bump. I just got into this band listening to Suburbs right now. Didn't like that at first but they've grown on me a TON.

Great sound, nice change from what I usually listen to.
