I doubt any reputable shop would repair a guitar like that, they didn't even try to hide the fix at all. It's really bad looking. Will it hold? Probably but who knows.

Lock the nut down! It's never going to stay in tune without it locked. The edge pro is a great trem, it's very stable. I have a 1570 and I have no issues with it staying in tune.

The maple/walnut is the neck. It's a 7 piece neck as you can see. It has ash body wings. I've never heard of a flat natural finish though.

This. Except with my JCA20 the MXR EQ wasn't that great in front of the amp and it has no FX loop, for whatever reason it was noisey out front. I use a TS9 and it gets it into metal territory...

I would look into a pedal and just run that through your clean channel. If you really want another amp I'd look at Jet City, good bang for your buck.

Ibanez trems are not licensed floyds they are their own branded trems. Most of the japan made Ibanez's came with good trems, why someone would swap it for a licensed floyd is beyond me.

Probably the worst thing you can do as a guitar player is avoid learning barre chords. You will need them, if not now then definitely later. The sooner you learn them the better off you will be.
