Nah, avoid Duncans. They are always really hairy and harsh with cloudy murky mids and ragged low end when used in Strats.

Look at the Dimarzio Super Distortion, D-Activator, Tone Zone, Gravity...

Krank used thin and cheap, almost tin like metal for their transformer brackets. They are notorious for bending under the weight when the amp is put/left standing on its end.

Thanks, I might offload the ENGL since my JSX, 6505 and JVM do what it does just as good and better in some cases.

Not entirely sure of the tonal differences, but I read Steve Fryette say that the Pittbull preamp voicing changes a few times through the years. Nothing drastic, just tweaks. I think the early...

Should have got one of these years ago. Finally found the 210H version used locally.
I love the eq voicing and how settings are still relevant when sharing the eq's between modes.

I basically have...

Just make sure to attach the logo plate BEHIND the metal grill. I think it looks terrible with them on top of the grill on the outside.

Yes, the V12 Legend is what Fryette recommends as a similar option to the P50.
I have a set but have never heard P50's in the flesh.
I now use Mesa Black Shadow MC90's with my Pittbull UL.

The midrange bark and snap from the GB's will help the Fireball immensly at "band" volumes. I know that amp has a lot of lowend, but it can be reduced with the bass control of course. Also, your cab...

Best way to use a boost pedal is gain at 2/10, level at 8/10, and the tone dial to taste.

Turning the gain on the OD pedal completely off thins out your tone and sucks the life out of it. Have it at...

You have a vintage series Marshall cab so it has V30's right? If so, then your tone will change with increased volume. Eq settings at lower volume will not work at high volume levels.
With my V30's I...

I get better clean, rock and metal tones with my active EMGs than I ever did with passive humbuckers. I recommed the 81b/60n set.
I think the only thing EMG's suffer form is stereotypes.

Ah right, I missed that. Well a Swamp Thang will do just fine if more bass is desired. Those are really thick sounding speakers. Serious thump.

I don't know man, my JSX has much tighter palm mutes than my 6505.
The JSX is an overall tighter amp. The 6505 just nastier sounding. The only amp that rivals my Engls tight palm mutes is my JSX.

I like my Polytune. I only use the needle mode though. Don't like the poly mode.
Almost bought a Pitchblack but couldn't jive with the cheap feel and lack of weight to it.
