There's a certain distortion tone that I really like that I sometimes hear in songs. The only band I know of that does it consistently is Weezer but I also found it in a Sublime song (second link) ....

Thanks for the second correction, but I'm in Canada and as far as I'm aware, the only dealer here for WGS comes to $110 after shipping and taxes for a veteran 30.
