Both typically come with a vintage-style trem. Easy to maintain.

The 5150 III 50 watt has two speaker output jacks. Plug both speakers in and switch the selector to 4 Ohms.

You could also rewire those two speakers to use only one speaker plug.

I wonder if it's the overall shape of the neck that people don't like. Apparently the KM-7 has a slightly thinner (1mm) neck than the Ibanez RG752.

Might not have the desired effect. I believe the 5150/6505 series have super clean power amps and they let the preamp do most of the tone work. It's more complicated than that, but I haven't heard of...
