Cheap guitars don't turn into expensive ones with a pickup swap. The rest of the guitar will still be cheap. Cheap wood, cheap hardware. Pickups don't make a guitar expensive. |

So here is another question, how would I go about staining a new veneer? Will there be enough wood to stain black and sand back and then color. Or should I just stain it a color and be done with it? |

You're going to get the best value for your dollar buying used. You can pick up a used Ibanez Prestige for 400-500 bucks and it will be worlds better than any new guitar you can get for under 500... |

It's not real cheap to upgrade a trem to an OFR. They are $200. Both the 470 and 450 came with the Lo TRS Trems which I am not familiar with, but reviews suggest they are not that great. |
