I don't use them personally, but +1 for the Elixirs. A friend of mine sweats so much that he used to fully corrode your standard Ernie Ball set in a week or so, and left visible residue on the neck....

chromatic exercises (1,2,3,4 etc) are great for getting control over your fingers (especially your little finger). Slowing down and using a metronome is a bit cliche, but it gives results.
