You can try to fix it, or if you are any good at soldering, you can replace it for fairly cheap.

I believe you want to be using the Boss FS-5U...

I believe you want to be using the Boss FS-5U switch for that.

The L is for latched type switch and the U is for unlatched.

I had the same problem using a FS-5L on my Boss ME20 for bank switching....

Yeah, It's my go to site for any wiring that I need to do. They have a ton of free ones with a lot of wiring options, but I think for what he wants to do, he will need his own custom one done.
