Thanks for the reply. I also have the neck up at an angle rather than close to horizontal. I have issues with tendons in my elbows and wrists, and the less I have to bend my wrist the better. Putting...

I've been following the Justin Guitar courses and some others for a couple of years. Justin and others teach that the guitar should rest on the right leg. However, I find that resting on the left leg...

Thanks. The Hamiltone was made by Hamiltone, though, and not by Fender. The real models that are exact replicas of SRV's guitar were made by Jim Hamilton of Hamiltone.

Where to watch for SRV Hamiltone repro?

I've fallen in love with Stevie Ray Vaughan's Hamiltone. I understand that there were a limited number of the SRV models made by Jim Hamilton, and they were signed by him on the back of the head...

Neither of my parents was into music, and so I didn't have much exposure as a child. I tried saxophone in high school, but didn't practice, and so I sucked. I just accepted that I wasn't destined to...

I had SRV weight (.012" - .058") GHS Rocker strings on one of my Strats. I struggled to play a couple of SRV songs for about a year and a half. I never even tried the songs on another guitar....

I only started playing two years ago, but have four guitars: a $50 used Squier Strat, a nice MIM Strat, an American Standard Strat, and a Les Paul Traditional.

I can definitely hear the difference...

I don't know what the original switch looks like.

I don't think you want to tune a half step higher. The bridge pulling up is common if you have more tension than usual, or if the springs just aren't strong enough to keep the bridge flat when the...

Thanks, Dave_Mc. It has to be that he's playing those few notes louder, as he's getting distortion on the first two bends of the B string, then on the next note on the un-bended B, then on the two...

question about Mick Taylor's "Can't You Hear Me Knockin" solo

Right now I'm playing with Mick Taylor's solo from the Stones' "Can't You Hear Me Knockin". It's pretty straightforward, but there's one thing that has me baffled.

Taylor's solo starts at the 4:40...

Recommend a strap for a heavy Les Paul?

I have 2 1/2" suede straps on my Stratocasters, and those get to me after a while. I can only imagine...
