4 or 5 seconds to make noise. i do not know about replacing the tube but i can only assume it is not going to need replacing often since it is not the meat of the amp.

neck, mid, neck and mid combo, hell if you EQ your stuff correctly you can find tons of different clean tones even with your bridge. I use the neck/mid combo mostly, with neck alone as a close second
