It's no different to one person buying a CD, copying it and selling it on. Whoever resells it still gets money, but none of will go to the artists or record label which the label will count as bad...

Chords are just made of at least 3 notes played in unison, it can be anywhere on the neck. Start learning the notes on the fretboard, then start looking up how chords are formed from scales.

If you have to get 8 mic tracks then drums shouldn't count as one. I did BTEC music tech and there was a similar limitation and we had about 14 drum tracks, just because we could.
