What? Drop A on a six string is NOT extreme and will NOT damage your guitar as long as you have it set up correctly.

I sometimes wonder if Peavey comes on here every once in awhile and asks this very question to make sure their amps are still getting plenty of attention.

I wouldn't pick it for death metal, but for black metal a Randall Diavlo will suit you just fine. That's what I play black metal on. I imagine with a boost you could get in DM territory though.

If you want a decent one for not much money, I'd recommend the Ibanez 7421PB. The pickups aren't Bareknuckles or anything, but they're definitely not the worst either. Plus, mahogany body with a...

Which 5150 III?

Simple question. Should I go with the combo, 50 Watt head, or 100 Watt head? And would an orange 2x12 with V30's go good with the head?

They don't have those around here. The nearest GC is Memphis... So with that, I'm fairly limited. The bottom end doesn't have to be TOO tight. Just tight enough to where there's a bit of clarity.

As of right now, no. The stock pickups (QM-7) are IMO, not anywhere near as bad as the stock pickups in other Ibanez guitars. They have a nice low end that doesn't muddy up and they respond to mids...

Yes. A speaker for the Jet City and a speaker for the Randall. I'd like the Jet City to sound a little less thin, and I'd like the Randall to have a little more mids.

What speakers?

High all! Decided I'm going to change the speakers in my Jet City 20 Watt and my Randall Diavlo RD50. Wondering what speakers I should go for? I mainly play Black Metal, Thrash, and Doom.

I have Seymour Duncan Black Winters and I love them. Passive pickups and they have a nice rounded out sound that's not too overbearing. Plus, the cleans actually are NOT all that bad.

What adjustments will need to be made? 10's to 11's?

Obviously, action and intonation, but what about truss rod? New gauge is 11-49. Old gauge is 10-46.
