Well that happened. Not as offensively bad as movie 43, but it certainly gave it a good go. Apparently scrotums are not only funny, but have repeat comedy value. I think I raised a wry smile once....

I've never seen the musical version of Les Mis, nor have I read it but I found it easy enough to follow. I kind of get where your coming from, they essentially jump years at a time in a single cut....

To the car crash came across as a bit too much like a trope if that makes sense. Like it didn't feel natural or necessary, and felt a bit too 'cinematic'...

I've only seen Ivan's Childhood myself, which I liked enough to make me interested in seeing more. But he's one of them who's combination of (what seem) slow films and long run...
