That's what the Pinnacle was made to do, but when I tried it I thought it was too fizzy. The Plextortion was much smoother and pleasing.

What do you want more, a delay or a boost pedal? Neither is more important, it depends on what you would use more.

Are you thinking of using the RP1000/HD500 for effects alone? In that case, I'd go for something like a TC Electronic G-Major/System or on of the Line 6 M series. You'd be paying for amp emulations...
