It's probably not a problem with the setup, but...
It's probably not a problem with the setup, but rather with the parts of the guitar. Check the contact points (tuning head, nut, bridge saddle) for sharp edges. |

Personally for shred (alternate picking, sweeping, etc.) I like the Jazz III XLs. The Ibanez Paul Gilbert ones are pretty good too but they wear out fast. |

if you think it's an issue with the guitar, try playing on another one. if not, i advise you slow down really slow and ensure you're hitting each note with perfect timing before speeding up. |
