Definitely better than things like the Amplugs, but maybe not quite as good as high quality MFXs like Pod HD500Xs and top spec Boss stuff.
I do have Bias and an Amplug for portable stuff though :)

I had to re-fill one of the holes for a height adjustment screw on one of my basses a while ago. Since there's a spring under the pickup, it needed to be a strong thread, so I widened the outsize of...

Okay. You don't seem too fussed about the sound, though I'm guessing something vintagey?
Basswood isn't a bad wood for guitars. A lot of pros use it including Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Others use...

Adding an additional pickup to my Stingray

I'd like to add a J style pickup to my SBMM Ray4. I kinda think I know how to wire it, so just need confirmation that I, not a total moron :)

Hang on, just make sure you're using the right fuse first. What fuse does the amp need and what did you put in it? You need to use the right one for the amp.
For example, my Marshall uses a T1.6A...

I like it a lot! Sounds a bit like early Periphery to me. You need to get this recorded ASAP. I'll mix it! :)

This is really just my personal preference talking, but cut the ultra lows (<60Hz) and cut less of the mids in the guitar tones.
You have to think of all of the layers as part of a full mix, so...

Haha, misunderstanding on my part too!
Turns out their 8 strings are indeed 27" and I getting it confused with the Meshuggah 8 string which is 29.4" and the 9 string which is 28" :)
