The answer is probably yes to all the questions, but as far as comparing it to a Fender Deluxe Reverb...the question is whether you want amp distortion or not. The Fender will be inconvenient to get...

Yeah, I play with my Vox AC15 mic'd up with an SM57 and only turned up halfway, and it's loud enough. Sometimes, the sound man complains, so I cover my amp with isolation pads and point it away from...

I'd honestly shoot for the Supersonic 22 before the 60. It has a more lively sound about it, but that's just my opinion. What kind of blues? A Deluxe Reverb or the aforementioned small Fenders would...

It can do very British hard rock sounds by itself and modern rock, so I imagine that a tubescreamer on just the normal boost setting (volume max, gain 0, tone wherever) will make a very heavy...

P-90s are pretty excellent. I tried my friend's Deusenberg Starplayer TV and loved the neck P-90 and I also thought a Les Paul with P-90s I played was pretty happening. I was even able to get some...

I actually tried the Tweaker 15 and my thought was that if it had a bit more clean headroom and a second channel, it would go from being a good amp to a great amp. Looks like the Tweaker 40 is the...

channel switching amp with nice clean channel

Hello, fellow UGers. I've sort of been itching for a new amp (not really needing one), but instead of just catering to what I normally play (clean/edge of breakup amp with pedals), I've been wanting...

I'd have to agree with your assessment on improved tone. I was never fully blown away with the sound of the original Rockerverb 50, but I thought the MKII ones were very nice from trying one in the...

Ah, then boosting the amp would help a lot. Try getting the amp to where it's getting crunchy, adding a tubescreamer or some such overdrive (Billy actually uses a Boss Blues Driver), turn the gain...

I remember you from an earlier thread. You never elaborated on what was bad? Was it weak, fizzy, trebley, muddy, not enough distortion, etc.??? Getting the amp to where it's just a little crunchy...

Very interested in picking one up. They seem relatively inexpensive for what they are and I could use a different flavor of boost/light crunch on my board. I'm starting to crave a different flavor...

The OCD can sound good for a boost, but it can make things a bit boomy if one isn't careful. I think having both would give one the best of both worlds. I also second the EXH Soul Food. It's a pretty...

The OCD really works well as a stand alone overdrive pedal or for adding extra hair to your sound (it's still got some light crunch at low gain). It's a nice pedal, but something like a tubescreamer...

Hmmm, I like my bridge pickup raised a bit. It makes it sound less dark and more clear, but it's just too hot to be that close the strings. I'm just looking for clear bite, but with the ability to...

The DC-5 for sure. I don't think there will be too much overlap with the MK5, and it shouldn't set you back too much if you split with the Bugera.

The boost isn't giving you more volume. It's adding more gain to the front end, making it more distorted. I can see wanting a cleaner sound with the pedal disengaged though. Try a Fulltone OCD or a...

It's not necessarily needed to boost it with a pedal, unless you just need the extra gain. Also, it's not necessarily bad to have the preamp up a bit, as long as you can get decent volume. If you...

I'm sure the amp has an fx loop. Most of the Kustom heads do. I feel like an EQ pedal would be great for clearing up a little mud. Running a Metalzone in front of any overdriven amp won't sound good.

One must be familiar with the sinking feeling that you made the wrong choice with a guitar or amp. I decided to revisit the Egnater Tweaker, since I haven't touched one in years. I had been...
