Can you play pentatonic patterns anywhere on the neck?

Meaning, can you play the first pattern of the minor pentatonic anywhere on the neck? In other words can I play that pattern starting on the A of the low E string making it in the key of A?

Again, great advice bud.

I'm encouraged to see that some folks are doing what they can to kick the stereotype that guitarists are A-Holes.

If it annoys you that I ask this question...

Peavey Wolfgang vs. Fender MIM Blacktop HH Strat

Korean Wolf that is used, obviously, in great shape and plays well vs. a new Blacktop Strat that plays equally well in my book.

Is there anything I should be wary of regarding either instrument?
