i switched out the stock pick ups on my LP custom for emg 81/85 (running at 18v) and i really liked them. but then i decided to switch to a JB/'59 combo for something less high gain - more "natural"... |

i thought it was common knowledge that a higher action = better tone.. same as thicker strings = better tone. sorry, i can't explain why though. |

having played both a jcm900 and a jcm2000 i've found the 2000 craps all over the 900. the 2000 is an awesome amp! well, the dsl is.. to be honest i haven't played the tsl.. |

so even though you're not using the power amp on the marshall it needs a load? i guess that's why you're saying you need a speaker plugged in. wouldn't the need for a load be by passed? |
