what are the benefits of an effects loop (i.e. guitar straight into amp, then amp fx looped to a pedal chain) as opposed to plugging your guitar into a pedal chain then plugging that output straight... |

you're likely going to have to buy a mim strat anyways but start with just the amp. then plug the squier in it and see if the guitar's really that terrible. because the amps make anything sound bad... |

if i played notes, at say volume 8, and it was normal... then I played notes at volume 10... could a compressor make those notes at volume 10 go all the way down? like... notes at a certain volume... |

well, it depends, man, you just gotta set it up...
well, it depends, man, you just gotta set it up right. heavier strings, more resonance, etc. you'll need a guitar with a lot of sustain to get C standard going. otherwise notes die a lot quicker. |
