Here a studio costs about US$10 - US$12 an hour and for a group of 3 - 5 musicians it's not really a big deal to noodle around for an hour or 2. |

If you have an android phone, gStrings is a great tuner. Chords! app also has a tuner but it works by ear. There are probably apps like that for the iPhone if you fancy that. Apps cost 1 or 2... |
