I have both. My vote is for the Schecter. To me...

I have both. My vote is for the Schecter. To me it's more comfortable to play and will have higher quality components in it.

One thing to let you know the LTD has a lot...

One thing to let you know the LTD has a lot slimmer body with a better cutout for lower fret access. It has the same over all shape as a Les Paul but that's about it. Don't get me wrong I am trying...

I got one and had my local tech set it up with 11's and the thing plays great. True the electronics aren't up to the same standard as a gibson but those are all things that are easy to replace...

Thanks for all the help so far guys. The hard part for me is the little shop in my town doesn't have any ESP EC's in stock for me to play and they are such a small shop he only stocks what he knows...
