Funny. Well just FYI I put in a DiMarzio Tone Zone S in my strat's bridge the other day and it's totally awesome, it sounds very, very sharp, with tons of gain and very nice heavy lows. I love it.

I'm pretty sure there's a coil split because I looked into them at some point. Maybe you could contact Parker and ask directly? For some reason I think their website makes no mention of it.

I used to play 9-42. Then I got a resonator and the string gauge was much higher. Once I got used to it the 9-42 felt like warm spaghettis! :-D

Even if you don't want to, you do put a little bit of sweat on your strings when you play. But I guess wiping it out is probably enough...
