Don't play that 4th fret on the B-string. Play the 8th fret on the G-string or the 13th on the D. Those three positions represent the exact same note and will sound identical for 90%. No-one...

Sounds like a great way of exercising your technique. Haven't tried it myself but I can definitely say that I find it a lot harder to play consistently on the higher strings than on the low E or A.
