In order of most gain (usually): Distortion, overdrive, boost. Now, gain can mean two things: amount of distortion or amount of volume. Most boost pedals are clean boosts, so "Gain" reflects a volume...

If you have a Floyd, get an F-Spaced bridge. If not, ignore f-space entirely. It's only for the bridge, as far as I know. The neck model isn't terrible clean, it's just that split coil is better than...

What amp you usin'? Because the SH-6 (or, at least tb-6) on my so-cal sounds decent clean on my VK212. The Sh-6N isn't as good. But split coiled (middle position on the 3 way toggle) between the...

So what specific tonal change are you looking for? Even thicker/warm? If so, I'd say Air Norton.

Hardwire TL-2>Metal Zone. Same design, but the TL-2 sounds less digital. It's also cheaper.

It's on the product pages for each wah, in the manual (at least for dunlops's stuff). Mind you, the font is freaking small. But thanks gumbilicious, that was wicked useful.

I didn't want to start a separate thread for this, so: on the specs for wah pedals (specifically cry babys), does a higher kHz value mean it will be brighter?

New Wah?

I have a crybaby from hell; I like the tweak-ability. However, it adds noise when it's off (I tested my rig with and without it). I don't know if all CFH's do this, it's kind of old. If they do: what...

What environment are you playing in and are you willing to go used? If you can go loud as you want, JSX 212 or a jet city combo (50w, I think) can be had at that price.

High mids and treble, bass around 3-5, gain around 4-5. Add and reduce as necessary. Don't expect exact matches, especially if that isn't a tube amp.

The hardwire Cm-2 has a bit of an annoying honk to it; I thought the green rhino had better tonal control/precision and clarity. And yay you took my suggestion :D

For the JH-600, I'd take a regular Super Distortion. More lows than the Super 3, but not as prone to mud as the Tone Zone. However, I don't have experience with the pickups for your other setups.

If your amp is decent, then it will do the trick (thought it might have a bit too much output, I'd go with the JB jr).

300 euros is 408 dollars. that can get you some used Peavey stuff, like a VK212 or 6505 112. If you don't mind the risk, bugeras are less used, gives you a bit more financial cushioning.

Keep in mind both those bands use humbuckers (Corgan uses single coil sized humbuckers). Just a thought.

What kind of pickups do you have in the strat?

What era of Pumpkins are we talking? Their classic sound is through a Big Muff.

I'd actually look for a JCM 800 or 900 combo.
