Finger independence work would be your best bet then. Try to keep all of your fingers as close as possible to the fretboard when you're practicing.

Costs as in money or lives? I'm willing to bet these drones are ridiculously expensive, and can only hold small amounts of ammunition or missiles. And missiles aren't exactly cheap.
