It would be pretty pointless to play a Modeller through a modelling amp. In the specific case of your question, a modeller would be better through the Bugera than the Vox.

Peavey JSX 212 is 120 watts and can be had used for $500. It has tons and tons of gain, I don't think you need to get an amp to use a distortion pedal, you can find something that will work for you...

There's a fairly cheap joyo power supply with multi-voltage outputs. I had one 12v pedal and I just got a godlyke iso-pump. It takes a 9v output and converts it to 12/18/24v with a little switch....
