I use Martin SP 11-52's which I feel are the best going today. They sound great and last pretty long. You can usually get them cheap from Sweetwater in a set of 12 for like 50 bucks.

Go and buy some Graph-Tech Tusq Bridge Pins. I bought a set for only 12 bucks on E-Bay which I installed on my Squier SA-100 and right away the change in both the sound and tone was amazing.

Thanks for the responses but, I think the best bet is for me to go to Guitar Center and try one out for myself I guess. I'm a Fender guy at heart and am loyal to that brand .

You should try the Squier Classic Vibe series. They are much better than Fender's MIM Standards as far as both build and tone. Ignore the fact that it says squire on the headstock and give it a try....
