I would not bother upgrading the speaker in the MG.

the "old" speaker in the randall is just a better speaker for your uses it seems.

I get you like the cube, and it is a good practice amp. But it falls short on so many levels as a gigging amp. get a real amp and you'll be much happier ;)

Get a 1x12 closed back cab to pair with your amp. That will had sparkle and punch for sure. A cab with a Reaper HP/Celestion Creamback 75 would be a great combo.
