I'd drop the tube screamer for powerpop/pop punk for sure -- it adds to much fizz and definitely contributes to the digital amp sound. I'd also give some other sims a try; a 5150 is definitely a bit... |

I usually low pass to 8k before I start messing w/ the amp EQ and dialing in the tone. Your guitars just need more lows and mids, I think. You also need to get the bass and guitars to mesh a bit... |

There's a lot of mistriggers on the snare. I think the kit seems a bit too disconnected and could use some glue. The whole mix seems oddly tilted to the right too, which is weird. Did you use any... |

90% of the twang and tone in djent is from the playing. Make sure you've got loose enough strings that they detune a bit when you hit them. |

There's some clipping on the guitars. Kick needs a bit more low end, imo. It doesn't punch hard enough. The cymbals are also a bit on the washy side. There's some weird pumping/ducking in the... |

You can't hear the snare at all and the toms are barely audible. Drums are the weakest part of the mix. They need to be big and prominent for pop punk. The low end is a bit muddy between the... |

The point of this exercise is so one can hear the subtle differences in tone as the ear/mic moves around the speaker/cab. I would have thought it'd go without saying that this is done at a safe... |

The drums go with the guitar if the metronome is turned off. I think you just have the drums and guitar starting on a beat other than 1. I'd just rerecord your guitar part to the drum loop. |

It depends on the other instruments in your mix. Generally it's safe to high pass a vocal around 100hz and a bit of a high shelf around 12khz to add some air. Listening to your song, you definitely... |
