They didn't last too long either and actually to me they felt rough.

If I am gonna spend $11 on a set of strings I can get Elixers with nanoweb or coated DRs that will last longer.

Crazysam is right on with that. They will do Jazz if you know how to set your amp and turn the volume down, they will do clean ok. I usually blend the bridge and neck together to get a good tone.
