That would be cheating in that it is using momentum and drawing on the strength of muscle groups that wouldn't otherwise be involved. I don't think it's usually hard to distinguish between "cheating"...

Nothing wrong with doing them 3 days a week if you don't over do it. Doing them frequently just made my tendons hurt, but try twice, and if it goes well add a third day.
