Looks like two or three cracks there - the scarf joint and the fretboard-to-neck glue join. Needs to be assessed properly so I would advise that you take it to someone who knows what they're doing. |

Depends how deep. A "bit of a smudge" might well sand out before you get to the polishing stage, something deep might not. |

Is this a fully completed (factory-built) guitar that you already have? If so, not possible. Those sort of wiring channels would be drilled into the two halves of an unglued body blank. |

Should've used an orbital sander and some 60 grit pads. That sealer coat is a pain, but if you're patient then you will have a nice blank canvas to work with. |

Put a bigger washer on the inside of the cavity...
Put a bigger washer on the inside of the cavity too. This will help spread the stress on the damaged wood from the jack being tightened into place. |
