You always want to add a touch of reverb to make sure the vocals aren't too dry but don't add so much that the echos drown out the dry signal. I usually balance it at around 30-70 wet-to-dry.

I find it hard to believe you can drop a 0.042 low E string two WHOLE steps to C and have it still tight. I find the low E string on 10s to loose for drop D.

Not bad for a first try, a little off time and vocals could use practise but still pretty good. But what's with the insane amount of reverb? Sounds like it was recorded in a sewer.

As it has already been mentioned in this thread, the volume knob on a guitar with passive pickups controls VOLUME not GAIN. Stop confusing the two people.

The epiphone dot is a good suggestion, but to be clear it's not AT ALL close to an acoustic guitar. Basically a solid body with a couple hollow wings. They are far too quiet for acoustic playing.
