Can't get my speed up.

Having trouble getting both my picking speed and fretting speed up, what are the possible causes of this? I'm not making mistakes when trying to fret faster, just not moving fast enough.

To a certain degree you've got to hear it in your head. Anyone can bang out random notes in the scale/mode but the best improvs aren't improvised at all, but intentional.

Notice how you can't tell one fret from another at that angle, on a twisted neck, there will be gaps no matter how you angle it.
