Could be that your actually hitting a harmonic...

Could be that your actually hitting a harmonic while pulling off. Try muting all the other strings with the right hand fingers while doing it, and see if it still sounds.

Yeah the problems start occurring with touring guitar players and the different venues' varying electricity (such as lighting) that they go to. But as for playing home, it doesn't really matter.

But that's just relatives. Substitutions can go way farther. But i'd say it's no use practicing anymore. What is JS?

The first four are variations of e minor, next is c major, and the last one is d major. In the last two chords you're hitting the root note, then the third, and then another third an octave higher.
